MECHANICAL PIPE HOOK

The Mechanical Pipe Hook was developed specifically for the utility contractor to provide a safe, efficient pipe handling attachment for horizontal lifting of precast concrete pipe. The manual slide balance of this Kenco pipe hook uses an adjustable lifting eye to obtain the preferred balance point. Industrial pipe lifting equipment can be used on any shape or type of 8 foot pipe sections.

Custom sizes can also be fabricated for pipe up to 20 feet in length. Pipe handling equipment is also available as a self-leveling pipe hook.

Kenco’s pipe handling equipment products are designed, manufactured and tested in compliance with the latest revisions of the ASME B30.20 and BTH-1 standards and are accepted by OSHA, CanOSHs, as well as virtually all other world wide standards.

Every pipe lifting device is hand tested by our engineering staff before it leaves our facility.

These box culvert wings are designed specifically for the job at hand. They are attached via a keyway system to each side of the pipe lifting equipment’s main body and allow for safe and secure moving of up t0 6′ wide sections of box culvert.

The mechanics of the lift process remain the same as for lifting RCP. The operator approaches the culvert from the side to insert the hook. The wings then help to stabilize and balance the precast concrete culvert assuring that no tilting or twisting occurs during the lift process. Each lift happens in a single smooth motion with the set and release step occurring just as quickly. It’s a safe and efficient way to increase your productivity while saving you from purchasing multiple lifts for each job individually.

Culvert box wing attachments can be built for culverts over 6′ wide or our unique dual-lift system can be designed specific to the job.

The Pipe Hook is designed with a unique slide mechanism that allows the operator to pick the balance point for various loads. It can be used on ANY shape or type of 8 foot pipe section. These Kenco Pipe Hook models are available in capacities ranging from 9000 to 60,000 pounds, and larger custom sizes can be built upon request.
